yesterday we had our last lectures. raj finished up the embryology lecture on tongue and palate, then ling came to give us a crash revision in histo. came in quite useful, but it made me worried. aishu and jl managed to persuade the lab people to let us have one last, painful look at the slides, so i stayed for over four hours peering through the damn microsope.
my memory seems to come in parts. anyway, i forgot, again to mention something funny that happened during our last ics session with james yip. fq was our group's interviewer, so he started asking the old man questions about his heart etc. the old guy then mentioned that the doctor told him there was this thing in his heart that was like a fan, turning, and he used his index finger and made several circles in the air. i was so boggled by his description until fq explained that he might have been refering to the mitral valve. i mean, that was crazy, i was despeartely trying to think of anything that might turn like a fan inside the heart.
crazy quotes from the profs:
prof ling: "guys it takes 64 days for sperm to be made, so don't waste your sperm!"
prof raj: " i never like the rectal anal junction cuz it's R-A-J"
i'll leave this blog like this for the moment for a month long hiatus. will blog only if i feel extremely compelled to do so. ta-ta.
