1) note to self: never chew gum when changing a patient's wound dressing. tried it today and i nearly puked. it's like in first year when i drank ice lemon tea right after anatomy class and thought i was drinking formalin. never again.

2) my team is being very nice to me today. "no need to come on monday" and "let's see how we can get you out of here early to enjoy the weekend." so it's hello memorial day weekend baby! i shall join the throngs of americans milling around town during this extended weekend. but that's if the weather holds up. it's like 13 deg C today and it rained. nooooo.
