RIP

just received news that another of the patients we cared for in haematology passed away last night. he was 24.

there was a time when palliative medicine appealed to me. now i have my doubts.

To quote the great Simon Ong (still of NCC Medical Oncology) - these patients will always be there. One makes a choice to turn away or not.

The choices and judgment in palliative medicine and medical oncology are very grey. Why else, the 'art of medicine'?
