Blackbird/ I Will

i can't help it, it's just too beautiful a song. managed to find a filipino group singing it in rehearsal. a bit too fast for my liking and the conductor interrupts them at the end, but it's the same lovely 8-part arrangement i had the chance to perform last year. until i find a way to put up the original version, this has to do. heh.

Blackbird/I Will - arr Swingle Singers

Blackbird singing in the dead of night
Take this broken wings and learn to fly
All your life
You were only waiting for this moment to arise

Who knows how long I've loved you
You know I love you still
Will I wait a lonely lifetime?
If you want me to I will

And if I ever saw you
I didn't catch your name
But it never really mattered
I will always feel the same

Love you forever and forever
Love you with all my heart
Love you whenever we're together
Love you when we're apart

When at least I find you
Your song would fill the air
Sing it loud so I can hear you
Make it easy to be near you
For the things you do endear you to me
You know I will

Blackbird singing in the dead of night
Take this broken wings and learn to fly
All your life
You were only waiting for this moment to arise

Blackbird singing in the dead of night
Take this sunken eyes and learn to see
All your life
You were only waiting for this moment to be free

Blackbird fly, blackbird fly
Into the light of the dark black night
